Turn Your Discord Community Knowledge Into Helpful Answers
Oncera answers from knowledge you control. You choose the FAQ channel, write the answers members should receive, and keep human handoff ready for the questions that should not be automated.
The problem with repeated questions
Most Discord communities answer the same things every week: how to get a role, where to find a download, what a plan includes, how refunds work, or which channel to use for help.
The answers often live in pinned messages, old conversations, documentation and one moderator's memory. New members do not know where to look, and regular members get tired of repeating the same reply.
How Oncera uses your knowledge
You assign one text channel as the FAQ and knowledge source. Oncera reads the messages in that channel and uses them as reference material when answering members.
Knowledge is scoped to one server. A subscription covers one server, and the assistant does not share another community's knowledge or settings.
Your plan sets the knowledge limit. Current limits are shown on the Pricing page and in the dashboard.
What to put in the knowledge channel
- One question and one answer per message where possible.
- Product, pricing, refund, rules, roles and troubleshooting answers.
- The exact wording members should see, not an internal shorthand.
- Links to a longer document when the answer needs more context.
- A note when an answer changes so old guidance does not linger.
How members reach the answers
In support channels, Oncera can answer every eligible question. In normal channels, it replies when mentioned or when a configured trigger word appears. Ignored channels are muted, and media-only or no-media channels keep their specific rules.
When the assistant is unsure, it can ping your human-support roles with your handoff message. If the ticket workflow is enabled, it can offer a private ticket channel for the conversation.
Set it up
Choose the FAQ channel
Pick a text channel members can read but only staff should post in, so the knowledge stays clean.
Write the first answers
Start with the questions your team answers most often. Use the words members use, including common misspellings or alternate names.
Assign the channel role
Mark the channel as the training or FAQ source in the dashboard's channel directory.
Test with real questions
Ask the assistant in a test or support channel. Check that it uses the knowledge and hands off when the answer is missing.
Review and update
Add new answers as they repeat, remove stale ones, and watch the knowledge limit for your plan.
Limits and honest expectations
- Oncera answers from configured knowledge; it does not learn on its own from every conversation.
- An answer can still be wrong or incomplete. Keep a human handoff path for billing, account and sensitive issues.
- Knowledge and settings changes usually apply within about a minute.
- The plan's knowledge limit applies. Check Pricing for current numbers.
- Oncera does not guarantee source citations or a fixed accuracy rate.
